Ashe

Ashe is the ambitious and calculating leader of the Deadlock Gang and a respected figure in the criminal underworld. Ashe has an organised mindset. This affects her ideas of how her organization should be run, to how relationships should work. Her relationship with McCree is “way more complicated” than a simple label, though could be described as a “love-hate” type of relationship.

Ashe quickly fires her rifle from the hip or uses her weapon’s aim-down sights to line up a high damage shot at the cost of fire-rate. She blasts enemies by throwing dynamite, and her coach gun packs enough punch to put some distance between her and her foes, or gain some air to leap to hard to reach places or for an aerial shot. And Ashe is not alone, as she can call on her omnic ally B.O.B. to join the fray when the need arises.

Ashe’s Dynamite Chorizo Ranchero

Yields2 ServingsDifficultyIntermediate
Prep Time5 minsCook Time15 minsTotal Time20 mins

This was really fun to make. You basically start by baking a tortilla into a cup shape and layer in the ingredients to create the dish. I honestly had never heard of or had refried beans before so I didn't know what to expect when eating them but they were pretty tasty especially when mixed with the chorizo, cheese and salsa.

A ranchero is actually a Mexican dish however it is often served in Southern American states which is roughly where Ashe is from. Given the slight spice to it, the inspiration from Ashe's dynamite helped push this dish towards her.

 2 Flour Tortillas
 Olive Oil
 400 g Refried Beans
 100 g Chorizo
 4 Eggs (lightly beaten)
 200 g Salsa
 150 g Cheddar Cheese (grated)

1

Preheat oven to 200ºC. Brush olive oil onto both sides of each tortilla and press them down into separate ovenproof bowls to simulate a bowl shape. Bake until the edges are browned, for 10 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes then remove from bowls. They should have formed into a solid bowl shape.

2

Microwave the beans whilst covered on high until heated through, for 2 minutes. Spread half into each tortilla bowl. In a frying pan cook the chorizo over medium heat until cooked through, 5 minutes. Spoon half of them into each tortilla bowl.

3

Wipe the pan and add the eggs it, scrambling them until all liquid egg is cooked through, for 2 minutes. Heat the salsa either in the microwave for 1 minute or in a saucepan over medium heat for 5 minutes.

4

Spoon the scrambled eggs over the refried beans and chorizo and then add the salsa. Finally top with grated cheese. For extra heat, use a spicier salsa or add hot sauce with the chorizo.
