Remus Lupin
Professor Remus John Lupin, also known as Moony, was a half-blood wizard. He was afflicted with lycanthropy during his childhood, as a result of Fenrir Greyback’s revenge against his dad. During his schools year he was Sorted into Gryffindor and became one of the Marauders, with best friends with Sirius Black, James Potter, and Peter Pettigrew. Together they created the Marauder’s Map.
After Hogwarts, Remus and his friends joined the original Order of the Phoenix and fought in the First Wizarding War. He taught at Hogwarts as Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts. Remus was regarded by students to be the best Defence teacher they have had thus far. He was also a professor of Harry Potter whom he taught how to conjure a corporeal Patronus, but resigned after Severus Snape revealed to the public that Remus was a werewolf.
In 1997, Remus married fellow Order member Nymphadora Tonks and had a son, Edward Remus Lupin, of whom he named Harry the godfather. Remus fought at the Battle of Hogwarts on 2 May, 1998, during which his wife was murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange. Remus was also murdered by Death Eater, Antonin Dolohov, during the first half of the same battle. His death was avenged by Filius Flitwick.

Lupin’s Ravaged Werewolf Burger
These buns were amazing. Pulled pork is always great and you can experiment with your favourite BBQ sauces to aim to get the best flavours. For this we used the Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey Barbecue Sauce and we love the sweet flavours in the savoury dish!
I chose this dish for Lupin to match his werewolf side, how it likes to thrash and tear things apart. Lupin was a great character in the series, from discovering he was a werewolf in Prisoner of Azkaban, to defending Dumbledore's Army in The Order of the Phoenix, all the way to his death with Tonks (another of my favourites) by his side in The Deathly Hallows.
Generously season the pork steaks with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Set aside for 10 minutes then add to your slow cooker. Pour over your BBQ sauce and cook on low for 8 hours (or high for 4-5 hours)
Once cooked remove the pork and shred using two forks. Keep the pork aside in a bowl and pour over a couple spoonfuls of your bbq sauce and stir to combine.
Add all the aioli ingredients into a bowl and mix to combine.
Assemble the burgers by adding pork to the base of a sliced bun then adding a dollop of aioli and topping with the bun top. Serve.
