Rita Skeeter was a journalist who wrote poison-pen stories. These stories tended to be based on false information and misreported interviews while she worked for the Daily Prophet, as well authoring a few tell-all biographies. Albus Dumbledore described her writing as “enchantingly nasty” after she wrote an unfavourable article about him.

Notable stories Rita Skeeter covered include the trials of various Death Eaters after the First Wizarding War, the Triwizard Tournament, and (albeit reluctantly) Harry Potter’s account of Lord Voldemort’s return to power in 1995 for The Quibbler. She also wrote biographies of: Armando Dippet, Albus Dumbledore, Severus Snape, and Harry Potter.

Smoked, Smashed, Poached and Toasted by Rita Skeeter

Because this dish uses Smoked Salmon, Smashed Avocado, Poached Eggs and Toasted Bagels, I thought I'd twist the title much like Rita Skeeter's articles. Smoked, Smashed, Poached and Toasted accurately describes the recipes but it does also sound like the ingredients have been beaten up, when in actuality they've created something brilliant and nutritious.

The colours also match some of the outfits Rita Skeeter wore throughout the Harry Potter books and movies

 200 g Smoked Salmon
 2 Bagels
 2 Avocados
 4 Eggs
 50 ml Lemon Juice
 Pepper (to season)

Poach two eggs in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until the white is cooked.

Halve and toast the bagels.

Peel and smash the avocado and mix in a bowl with the lemon juice.

Pile the ingredients on top of each other. Spread the avocado over the toasted bagel and add slices of smoked salmon over them. Top with a poached egg.
