Inspired by
Viktor Krum
Taking inspiration from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I’ve made a dish that represents one of the candidates of the Triwizard Tournament, Viktor Krum. Viktor was a Bulgarian Wizard who attended the Durmstrang Institute. He was also the Seeker for the Bulgarian National Quidditch team while still studying at school.
The Yule Ball was a formal Christmas celebration, which was held for students of Wizarding schools who participated in the Triwizard Tournament, on the 25 December. The ball was open to students in the fourth year and above however younger students were also allowed to attend provided they were invited by an older student. Ginny Weasley was able to attend, as she was invited by a fourth year student, Neville Longbottom. All tournament champions were required to attend, and they must have a dance partner, as tradition required them to open the dance.

Yule Ball Goulash
Hungarian goulash is much like a beef stew. Slow cooking the vegetables and meat together makes them tender in a great, thick sauce. You could just as easily cook this on the hobs but a slow cooker is great at just leaving unattended for hours.
Place beef in slow cooker. Cover with carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, onion, and garlic.
In a medium bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients except parsley, and then add to the slow cooker. Stir a bit to combine.
Cover and turn heat to high. Cook for 4 to 6 hours, or until beef is tender.
Serve in bowls with some cooked pasta on the side. Garnish with a sprinkling of parsley.
